Summary

The Senior Manager, Third Party Collections will primarily be responsible for managing a client group and a team of collection staff and transfer agents.   The Senior Manager will develop and maintain team building relationships with collection staff, transfer agents, and the organization’s support partners.  Using an established suite of performance and productivity reports, the Senior Manager will conduct ongoing data-driven coaching sessions with staff to help each team member to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly targets.  The Senior Manager will act as a key point of contact for the organization’s partners and clients and shall collaborate with its senior leadership to identify performance, resource and growth opportunities. 

Responsibilities

  • Master a full understanding of our clients’ directives, service and performance requirements and competitive measurements.
  • Plan, execute and validate daily work plans to consistently meet targets established by our clients and the organization.
  • Coach, train and mentor staff to consistently meet individual and client targets using established tools.
  • Coach staff regarding Canadian federal & provincial regulatory policies; client and MJR service & policy requirements.
  • Engage with senior leadership to develop effective collection strategies, growth opportunities, and continuous improvement plans.
  • Identify resource opportunities needed for success and communicate with MJR’s support groups (e.g., HR, IT, Client Services, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, QA).
  • Provide ongoing communication as needed with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years working in 3rd party collections.
  • Minimum 2 years of managing and coaching staff.
  • Proven ability to engage and motivate collection staff.
  • Proven ability to develop debt collection strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing dialer technologies and contact strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and measuring collection performance in a competitive collection environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment of collection staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Strong leadership skills in understanding performance drivers and implementing continuous improvement strategies with support groups (e.g., HR, IT, Client Services, Legal, Compliance, QA, Senior Leadership).
  • An understanding of the DRS and/or Debtmaster collection platforms is an asset.
  • An advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel is an asset.
  • An understanding of the legal process is an asset.

We are seeking an experienced, positive and team-oriented Business Development Manager. The incumbent shall be responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies for increasing sales and profits through our existing and prospective client list.

Summary

The Business Development Manager will primarily be responsible for planning and driving the day to day sales outreach goals of the organization, including developing and maintaining relationships with the organization’s partners and prospective partners, identifying and cultivating potential partnerships and sales strategy development by industry group. The Sales Manager will act as a key point of contact for the organization’s partners and prospective clients and shall collaborate with its senior leadership to identify sales opportunities and partnering strategies. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an up to date sales database for the company’s clients and prospective clients including contact information, relationships, specific deliverables and timelines, and other information as required.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and client satisfaction.
  • Develop, prepare and deliver communications material for MJR’s clients and prospects.
  • Review, update and deliver social media communications in conjunction with our social media provider.
  • Communicate recovery and trend reporting, and any other ongoing reporting requirements.  
  • Solicit feedback and administer practices and procedures to enhance operations and enable MJR to strengthen its relationship with its clients and prospects.  
  • Support MJR senior management through summary reports and notifications of important client events, etc.
  • Work with MJR management to document and track company initiatives with a view to developing communications and sales strategies.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of our outreach; recommend and implement changes based on findings. 
  • Act as liaison to MJR management for completion of day-to-day administrative and operational issues. 
  • Identify audience and appropriate formats for media.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.  
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in sales or communications with management and executive level contacts. 
  • Experience in managing social media communications.  
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in leading RFPs, audits and project management an asset.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

The Sales Manager reports directly to the Senior Vice President.  Some travel is required to meet with our business partners, most of which are in the GTA.
